On 18th September 2025, we provided to our partners the “AI in Science Workshop: empowering researchers through Artificial Intelligence”.

And it was a success. More than 80 participants attended the event. The enthusiasm and curiosity of our participants made this workshop special!

The workshop provided researchers with foundational tools and practical insights into howAI can support and enhance their daily scientific work.

The extraordinary diversity of our community prompted us to setting up:

A HYBRID EVENT: in person at ITQB NOVA where many of our members are located, and online for those at the other partner institutions or that have responsibilities at home.

A TAILORD WORKSHOP with three of the key competencies for our researchers:

– Data Analysis (by Dr. João Guimarães, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa)

– Writing Tools (by Dr. Bruno Saraiva, ITQB NOVA).

– AI in Imaging (by Dr. Estibaliz Gómez de Mariscal, ITQB NOVA).

We thank our speakers and attendees for making this event a success.

We expect this to be the workshop that builds up into a AI-focused training program at LS4Future.
