EUTOPIA – alliance of European Universities

Co-founded by the European Union, EUTOPIA is an alliance of ten European universities and six Global partners, committed to developing a new model for integrated higher education institutions through transnational cooperation.

EUTOPIA is an ambitious partnership of ten like-minded universities devoted to reinventing higher education.

This alliance includes: one of our partner institutions NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgium), Ca’Foscari University of Venice (Italy), CY Cergy Paris Université (France), Technische Universität Dresden (Germany), University of Gothenburg (Sweden), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), and University of Pompeu Fabra (Spain), and University of Warwick (United Kingdom).

Together, these pioneering institutions are working to create the European university of the future.

Eutopia Values and Mission

EUTOPIA is dedicated to addressing significant global and democratic challenges in the Anthropocene era. The alliance takes on a leadership role in shaping a sustainable future through shared values aligned with the European Charter of Fundamental Rights.

Key values include:

  • Serves Society: We leverage our strengths to connect cultures and contexts, enhancing European creativity and supporting the region’s global influence in innovation.

EUTOPIA Young Leaders Academy

The EUTOPIA Young Leaders Academy is an initiative promoted by the EUTOPIA alliance of European universities. It aims to foster an interdisciplinary research community across various countries, as well as support the exchange between high-potential young researchers and stimulate their professional development.

Selected participants act as ambassadors, contributing to the alliance’s activities and promoting the creation of an integrated research community.
