This one-day event will be dedicated to strengthening collaboration between researchers and professionals from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

This initiative reflects LS4FUTURE’s commitment to advancing frontier life sciences research and promoting research translation and innovation through stronger ties with industry and other societal stakeholders.

The programme is designed to foster dialogue, networking, and strategic reflection on how to accelerate innovation and create impact through collaborative research.

• Opening Session – Academia–Industry Collaboration: Challenges and Opportunities
  Featuring perspectives from Balça Mardin (Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany), Sílvia Garcia (ANI), Dr. Anabela Isidro (National Delegate for Health in Horizon Europe), and Carina Santos (Strategic Alliance Executive at Cancer Research Horizons – UK).

• Case Studies – Empowering Innovation through Collaborative Research
  Presentations from academia and industry showcasing successful partnerships and their outcomes.

• Parallel Sessions
  🔹 AMA – “Science Careers in Industry”: an informal session for PhD students and postdocs to talk directly with professionals working in pharma, biotech, consultancy, and entrepreneurship.
  🔹 Roundtable – “Discussing a Roadmap for Collaboration”: an open discussion between academia leaders and industry representatives on practical next steps to enhance cooperation.

• Networking & Closing Session
