LS4FUTURE Marie Curie Visitor Grants

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new LS4FUTURE initiative designed to strengthen our ability to attract exceptional postdoctoral talent: Marie Curie Visitor Grants.
This call will support travel and accommodation for five short visits aimed at developing competitive MSCA proposals together with LS4FUTURE supervisors at:
  • iBET
  • IPO Lisboa
  • ITQB NOVA
  • NIMSB
  • NOVA Medical School
Our goal is to bring promising researchers with complementary expertise into closer contact with our scientific community and to reinforce LS4FUTURE’s strategic positioning in the upcoming 2026 MSCA call.

To help you and your team make the most of this opportunity, we will host an online Informative Session, where we will present the initiative, eligibility criteria, evaluation process, and practical steps for supervisors and candidates.

What’s on the table?

This initiative aims to support Marie Curie postdoctoral candidates to be hosted at LS4FUTURE Institutions.

LS4FUTURE will provide five travel grants, one per partner institution (ITQB NOVA, NMS, NIMSB, IPO, iBET) with a maximum value of 900€ each, to be used for trip and accommodation expenses.

Who should consider this?

Postdocs eligible for the 2026 MSCA call who:
• Have secured a host supervisor in the target LS4FUTURE institution
• Bring complementary expertise to the host laboratory
• Want to experience our research environment firsthand

How the project will be reviewed?

Eligible applications will be evaluated by internal reviewers, based on:

  • Scientific excellence and candidate potential to succeed in Marie Curie Fellowship Call (including letter of support from supervisor) – 50%
  • Alignment with LS4FUTURE research priorities -10%
  • Complementarity of expertise relative to host lab –20 %
  • Feasibility and value of the visit to the Marie Curie proposal – 20%

APPLICATIONS

Applications to the grant must be submitted using the official application form and must not exceed four pages. They must be submitted via email (ls4future@ls4future.pt) and include the host laboratory supervisor at the LS4FUTURE institution.

If an institution does not receive applications, the review panel may attribute a second grant to an outstanding candidate applying to visit another institution, based on proposal ranking.
