LS4FUTURE provided essential tools to Early Career Researchers

We had an inspiring and energising two days at our GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP!

In today’s highly competitive funding landscape, we know that being an excellent scientist is often not enough to secure a major grant.

In this context, we prepared for our community a workshop designed to help researchers strengthen their grant-writing skills and increase their competitiveness for funding opportunities.

Together, they explored the European funding landscape, discovering how to navigate funding opportunities, understand the priorities of different funders and calls, and align their research ideas with the programmes best suited to support them.

The trainers enlighten the participants on the real bottlenecks in eligibility, pre‑selection and reviewing steps, while strengthening their ability to write clear and focused research statements, and impactful applications for each call.

They also dived into the narrative CV, recognising non‑traditional achievements and transferable skills, and closed the training with hands‑on exercises that helped transform research ideas and results into attractive applications that resonate with evaluators.

A heartfelt thank you to our trainers from Fellowsherpa, David del Álamo and Thiago Carvalho, for their expertise, insights, and enthusiasm throughout the workshop. And to all our participants for their engagement, curiosity, and energy; your contributions made this workshop a rewarding experience. We wish you the best of luck in your next applications!
