Researchers develop an exceptional range of technical, analytical and interpersonal skills throughout their PhD and postdoctoral training. However, many struggle to recognise the full value of these competencies, articulate them confidently, or apply them when making career decisions.
For that reason, LS4FUTURE has prepared a series of workshops designed to help early‑career researchers find the right path for themselves and succeed in getting there.
The first of this series is a full-day interactive workshop, designed to help you develop greater self-awareness, identify and communicate your strengths, and confidently navigate career transitions within and beyond academia.
Through a combination of self-assessment, reflection, peer coaching, discussion and practical exercises, you will explore how your research experience has shaped your transferable skills, values, motivations and career aspirations.
The workshop emphasises that successful career development begins with understanding oneself and provides participants with practical tools to make informed career decisions, build professional networks and develop an actionable career development plan.
By the end of the day, you will have greater confidence in the value you bring as researcher and a clear strategy for your next career transition.
